Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I have a home in FL that is leased until June 30. I will have a judgment entered against me from California. How long will it take for the judgment to become domesticated in FL? As long as the homestead is reinstated before the judgment is valid in FL will it hold up against the creditor? Thank you.

The creditor must file suit in Florida to domesticate the judgement. This is not a difficult proceeding. Want to know the law? Sign up for our free newsletter on varies areas of the law by sending an email to [email protected] and requesting the newsletter, or go to www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com
