Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
home loan contract
Hi,
I have a home loan on a house that I tried to sell for a profit b4 the market crashed. Received papers from their lawyers that they will file a lawsuit to get their money back. Is there any way to protect my wages from being garnished? And what is the usual outcome of those cases? Should I be frightened that they will file a case? The loan was for about 40K. Thanks.

Re: home loan contract
I do not practice in real property law, foreclosure, banking, wage garnishment, or bankruptcy.
There are many FL attorneys on this site who do practice in those areas. If one does not answer this question, I suggest you resubmit under real property law catagory.
Re: home loan contract
Their remedy depends upon the papers you signed. You do not want to jeopardize hour home to foreclosrue, if its value exceeds the money owed.
