homeowners

my mother and i own a home together. she is now living there on her own for 4 years. i have moved out. can i just move back in without any questions

You have the absolute right to move back into the home if you are a joint owner with your mother. She has no right to keep you out of it. She may have some claim against you for failing to contribute to the mortgage and repairs for the previous 4 years, but that is a matter for a court to decide and not her.

You do have the right to live in a house you part own. It might not be easy to do with her but legally you can.

If you are a co-owner you have the right to move in whenever you want.
