Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Huge Power line on Property

Is there any federal regulation on how close a main power line can be near a home? FPL currently installed huge 4o ft concrete poles on my property the power lines are huge and sizzles in the rain (sounds like a huge bug zapper. This seems very unsafe and I fear that if a line falls our house will burn down. We live on a main street and currently advised by fpl that we could not have any trees anywhere near the pole because they will cause a huge fire and in the process burn down our house! we were told that 300,000- 400000 volts travel through the lines. Please help

You should discuss this matter with a local attorney who can research the specific site and applicable regulations. I note that your zip code is in the Naples/Golden Gate area. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me.
