Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

My husband and I let some "friends" borrow our generator because they had no power now when I ask for them to return it I am getting no response I have a feeling they sold it. The generator cost over $500 is there anything I can do to get it back or the money for it?

You can send them a demand letter and if they do not respond, sue them in small claims court.
