Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
My husband passed in 2004. He had a partner (LLC) with whom he was building condos. His share was 35% which I sold. The lawyer held up my final payment (I only received about half of what was bought) due to probate. The probate was finished 11/30/2010 and payment was due 15 days after probate finalized. As of today, I am still waiting for this payment. Do I have any recourse as to getting this money?

Have you made a demand on the lawyer to pay over the funds? If so, and he has not done so, has he given any reason for failing to do so? You may have to sue him and/or the personal representative of the estate. Depending on the facts, there may also be a basis for a Bar complaint.
Set up a face to face meeting with the lawyer and have him explain to you why you have not received the money. If it does sound right, file a bar compaint and or see a lawyer.
