Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Injunction

My old girlfriend (through the Lake County Florida Courts) placed Temporary Injuntion for Protection against Dating Violence against me. A hearing to decide whether to convert this to a Final Judgement is scheduled next week. Am I required to appear? The papers read 'Notice of Hearing'. I am not finding the words 'Ordered to Appear' anywhere on this document. If I am found liable for court costs and I do not appear at the hearing, how will I be notified of the amount due?

Re: Injunction

It sounds like you are not required to appear. If you do not appear, it is likely that there will be a final injunction against you and that may not be a good thing for you.
