Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
Internet Harassment
During a brief separation, my husband had a short relationship with a woman who lives in FL. He broke it off but she continues to harrass us. Phone calls, emails, and her website - a portion which is dedicated to my husband. She has said in emails that her goal is to hurt him - ruin his reputation with his business associates, family, friends, and a childrens civic organization of which he is the national president.
The information on the site is her interpretation - some untruths, but nothing extreme. We have not retaliated in any way. She has posted photos (not naked) and some of the voice mails he left.
In talking to a therapist, and doing some research ourselves, we believe she has Borderlilne Personality Disorder and, believe me, we are afraid.
Is there any way to stop her completely? Is this Libel? Slander? I have been told that I can get her host to remove her website but then she would just go somewhere else. And I don't want to make her mad unless we can get a restraining order or something that would put a stop to any contact with our family, friends or business associates. She has not contacted anyone yet, as far as we know, but it's only a matter of time.
What are my options?

Re: Internet Harassment
First, make it known to her in writing that her contacting you is unwelcome and that you want her to stop. Log every attempted contact in a journal. Secondly, you should file a temporary injunction against her. Finally, you may have a lawsuit against her for slander if she is publicly defaming your husband. Please call 305-984-5748 for a consultation.
