Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I am involved in a Florida Southern District civil law suit and I had retained an attorney who has done nothing. I can no longer afford an attorney and he asked the courts to withdraw. I have decided to represent myself (pro se) Do I need to inform the courts that I am now rep myself?

You should pay close attention to the order of the court that permits your attorney to withdraw for notifications and procudures from that point forward. You must be extremely careful representing yourself in any civil matter. Depending on the nature of your case, there may be assistance through Legal Aid or attorneys willing to take your case for a reduced fee or no fee.

Best of luck
