Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I live in volusia county fl. I bought a house with a girlfriend about six years ago.I came up with all the downpayment and closing money and paid every penny of the mortgage and electric.She never paid one penny toward it. She moved out about four years ago.Now that i have fallen behind on my mortgage payments and have tried work out a n agreement with the mortgage company she refuses to sign the document.She says she doesnt care if the house goes into default.Is ther any legal recourse? She refuses to sign any agreement. Can I find a legal solution?

What is the tentative agreement with the mortgage company? Without knowing that, and the following, it is impossible to answer your question. Did she sign the note? Is she on the deed? Is the mortgage already in default? Have they sued yet? Depending on the answers to these questions, there may not be much that can be done, but this information is important in evaluating the answers. If she understands, assuming she's on the note, that she may be liable for a deficiency judgment, that might change her mind. Perhaps the bank would accept a deed from you and only sue her. There are possibilities, but there are only guesses without more facts.
