Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Locksmith won't finish what he started...

I hired a locksmith to cut a new key for my motorcycle after losing the only key I had. Locksmith said he could do it, so I loaded bike into trailer and took to his shop. Locksmith got frustrated after 6 hours on it, told us to leave it at a cycle shop down the road and he'd work on it later that week. It's now been sitting at cycle shop almost 3 months, the locksmith keeps promising to come out, but cycle shop says they haven't seen him. Locksmith damaged the ignition so badly that no other locksmith will touch it. There are no written agreements, only verbal. Do I have legal right to pursue this locksmith? Can I make him pay for a new ignition, since he can't and won't get this done when he said he could? I'm interested in finding an attorney to write a letter for me, if there is a legal right here. Thanks.

Have new ignition put in and send him bil. You can sue in small claims court if he refuses to pay it.
