Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
In March 2009 I deposited a check for 4900 dollars in a girls bank account so it could be cashed. I allowed her to use some of it to rent a u-haul to move to florida. We shared a home for 1 month (april 2009) also used some for a deposit for the electric, Which was in my name. She asked me to leave the electric on and she would pay the bill but she didnt. I moved out in May and she still hasn't paid me back or returned some of my belongings. The check was made out to me. Can I sue her for this and my belongings?

No, I don't think so. But, a judge will decide -- be prepared with evidence. In my opinion, a judge will tell you that you essentially gave a gift except for the electric/cable bill which you shared. Really want to file a lawsuit over a couple hundred bucks and a bad relationship? If so, go ahead and file in small claims court. No attorney needed.
