Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

mediation settlements

If a mediation settlement has been reached and a date of 8/10/06 was set for payment to the plaintiff, is the lawyer allowed to give an extention for payment to the defendant? An extension was given without plaintiffs knowledge for a 10 to 3 week extension which is now past. What recourse does plaintiff have to collect this agreed settlement?
