Misleading school advertising

My wife attended a Diagnostic Ultrasound School in the Ft. Lauderdale area. The recruiter said the school was accredited. This turned out to be not true. While my wife was in school for the past two years, the school said it was working towards being accredited. My wife has completed all her work as of today and the school is still not accredited. The school has strung us along for two years and is not any closer to being accredited. We feel like the $23,000 spent on tuition was a waste and would like to force the school to either get accredited or give us our money back with interest. Do we have a leg to stand on?

Possibly. It would depend on all the documentation involved and proof of what was told to your wife and any witnesses. An investigation with the accrediting board would also be in order.
