Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
My mom moved out 10 months ago and moved back in April. She took what she wanted and left what she didn't. Now that I'm moving out she said that I can't take the items she left and if I do I'm going to jail. Although through out her move she never mentioned that she was coming to get anything she left. Do she have any legal grounds for this?

You don't get ownership in her personal property simply because she did not claim the items. You also cannot go to jail for items left within the home that you have rightful possession of, assuming you do. It would be a civil matter that had to be resolved by civil courts not a criminal matter if you improperly disposed of her items. I would not dispose of any of them. without getting written clearance from her now.
