get my money back

if you borrow someone money because you care for them and told them they owe you without signing a contract can you get it back

I assume you mean . . . "if you lend someone money" . . . .

If your agreement was that the person was supposed to pay you back, then, yes you should get paid back, as the borrowing person has breached the contract. A loan contract as you describe it does not need to be in writing. You must, however, be able to prove that you had a contract, as opposed to having simply made a gift.
