Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Money Question

My question is: if you are taken to civil court and the judge awards the plaintiff ...let's say for instance $10,000. Are you expected to come up with that much money all at once? How would you pay that off? Is that a court order or is that a judgement?

Thanks

Re: Money Question

Once the judgment is entered in the Court records, the judgment creditor may attempt to collect using various means such as attachment, execution, garnishing salary, foreclosing real property etc. As a judgment debtor with assets, your attorney should assist you in making arrangements to pay off the debt and filing of a judgment satisfaction. Good luck.
