i paid a judgement and need a judgement satisfaction letter in order to close on a mortgage what can i do instead of waiting on the lawyer to file if i have a copy of the cancelled check and bank statement as well as a receipt from the attorney

You need a satisfaction of judgement. The person or entity that held the judgement must sign it.

If the attorney will not send, make a motion in court for judge to have judgment deemed satisfied.
