Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

My pedigree lab bit a neighbor's dog on its ear and needed stitches. They are threatening to have the Humane Society take her away. Can they do this? Isn't there such a thing as "first bite?"

As far as I know, the Humane Society does not function as animal control and will not come take your dog. No, there is no such thing as "first bite." That is a myth and is not in florida law.
