Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

a person borrows 10,000 from my husband 10 years ago. pays back 3000 2 years ago. my husband died and now person will not pay. no papers signed by this person, but he acknowledges the fact that he owed the money. is there anything i can do to make him pay it back to me

You should ask this question of an attorney who practices in estate and probate law. I believe the money would still be owed to your husband's estate, of which you are likely a beneficiary.
