posting a list of homeowners on bulletin board

Can a mobile home association legally post the names and addresses of residents who have paid dues and those who have not paid on a public bulletin board?

I believe that it may be a violation of the colletion practices acts although I would want to research it further. Feel free to call or e-mail me if you wish to discuss further.

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.

Although this is not directly covered under Florida law, I see no harm in simply posting a list of members whose dues have been paid as well as those who have not on a public bulletin board. If it is simply a record of the Association's membership and dues payments, without any comments or further information, it would probably be allowed by a court if challenged.
