Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

power of attorney power

My wife was hired by a lady in her 70's to be a companion. She was hired at 8 dollars per hour. After a few weeks the lady gave my wife a raise of 2 dollars per hour which makes it $10.00 per hour. Her nephew (who lives in New Jersey) has power of attorney to manage her finances leaves her with her own check book and free will to write checks [so he doesn't consider her whole unable to make decisions] now wants her to pay back the $2.00 per hour raise that she gave me (of her free will). Can he force my wife to pay back a freely given raise by a lady who has complete control of her mind ? Her only problem is age and a problem walking.

Thank you kindly.
