Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Would it be practical to file suit for Child Abuse?

I am 44 years old. Approx. 40 years ago, my sister, now

54 and a very high level official (State Commissioner

level) in the Texas State Government repeatedly

sexually abused me.

I have spent a life of depression, alchohol abuse,

near suicide and now am broken and living on a small

disability pension based on mental illness. My wife

and children suffer greatly because of this.

Now, I sit and decay while my sister gloats about possibly

going to Washington D.C. with Mr. xxxx if he is elected president.

It is well passed the Statute of Limitations here in

Florida, where the abuse took place to bring criminal

charges against her. My resources are extemely limited. Would a lawyer take a civil suit like this

on a contingency basis? If not, are there any legal

services for the poor who might help me get some

retribution from this evil person?

Re: Would it be practical to file suit for Child Abuse?

It appears the statute of limitations would bar

you from any civil action. I do not know any

lawyer who would take this on a contingency basis,

nor do I know of any legal services to refer you to.
