Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Property Lien

My girlfriends house has a lien put on

it from the home owners association.

She hired an esquire to try to reach a

price settlement. So far none of his

attempts to reach anyone at the firm

about this situation have been

answered. He stated that she might

have to counter sue in order to get

them to acknowledge our request.

Does this sound right to you, is there

any other options? Thank you.

Re: Property Lien

Hard to say. It would depend on what the lien is for, whether it was valid and what the basis of any counterclaim would be. Sounds a little wierd. You don't normally counterclaim just because you are having trouble reaching the opposing party.
