Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

my question is that my son was convicted of crime and sentince to life, now do to the charge he was convicted of the family want to suie my home owner ins due to the crime was so called done in my home (which it never happen). Can they suie me due to it has nothing to do with me.

Any one can sue any body claiming they have a right to damages. The question is, can they prove all the legal elements that would entitle them to recover a judgment. If you are sued, immediately inform your insurance company and send them a copy of the complaint. If they deny coverage, you need to hire your own lawyer and file an answer before 20 days have past since the date you are served.
