Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
I have received a subpoena in a civil case as a witness for the defense. The Plaintiff has sued me in the past and I do not wish to involve myself with that person in any matter. Must I comply and to what extent. How far into my private life can they probe. I cannot afford an attorney to protect myself.

General questions can be asked in a deposition or court about you., and the issues concerning the case obviously, too. But you do have a right to privicay under the Florida and Federal Constitution, and if you feel the questions invade your privacy, ask the judge for relief and object to the question on those grounds.

It is impossible to know where you may draw the line without knowing the entire situation.
