If i signed a financial contract that states that i owe 3053, and i pay it all back. then once i graduate they tell me that there was a mistake that i really borrowed 6053, that in order to get my diploma i must pay it back. i have no paper work stating that i ever borrowed that amount. theres more to the story but i just wanted to know if i had a case?

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.
Maybe, but without knowing the "more to the story" it is impossible to give any viable answer. All legal matters are governed by the totality of the issues, not just one favorable part.

You owe what you contractually owe, even if they make an accounting mistake, except in very limited circumstances.
