Safety and survival rights

I work for the U.S. Postal Service and wish to know if they have authority to separate me from my 72 hour emergency kit by forcing me to lock it in a locker instead of it being under my case, out of the way and no trouble for anyone?

I don't have a clue by what you mean by "72 hour emergency kit," but the employer is generally able to limiot what is at a worker's job location.
