It depends on where the person lives and whether that state has passed the uniform deposition act. You may have to get a commission in Florida to serve a subpoena elsewhere and you may have to have a court filing in the foreign state. Usually, a decent court reporter in the other state will know the rules and how to get the person there served. Contact a court reporter there.
