Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I signed a contract with a Lawyer 14 months ago, on consignment.

I was injured, broken pieces of plate were in the salid and I need $35,000.00

worth of dental restoration. The lawyer who I have met, paralegal says they need

$10,000.00 to proceed, because the restaurant has no insurance or workers comp.

What are my options. I am Unemployed on social security and have no money.

Find another lawyer. If your lawyer wants $10,000 for a straightforward injury case, that is way more than others would cost you/ If you have a legitimate case, most lawyers handle these cases without any costs being advanced by you.

If the restaurant is more than a fly by night operation you should be able to find another lawyer willing to handle on a contingency basis. Call the Lawyer Referral Service if you need help.

Unless the restaurant has assets you may never collect, even if you have a judgment.
