Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
Signes a release, now they wont pay me the rest
I was involved in an accident with an ambulance. There were no injuries. They were at fault and ticketed at the scene. A representative called me and asked that I not go through their insurance company. I said fine as long as they pay the car bill. They cut me a check based on the initial body shop estimate. I also signed a release that I wouldnt sue them in the future for any consequences arising from the accident. The initial estimate went up after I received the check, and now they wont pay the difference. Anything I can due? Should I go to small claims court? Its a difference of about 600 dollars. Thanks...
