signing contract

i signed a contract to buy a car but the car in question was already sold to someone else. i never took pocession of the car but the other person got the car. am i responsible for the loan ?

Yes. Contact the bank. The auto ws probably collateral for the loan and without the colatteral you may be in violation of the promissory note.
