Can I sue my ex husband in small claims court for back taxes under his social security number that I had to pay 4 years after our divorce because I was married to him when they were incurred? I got nowhere with the IRS - you basically have to be locked in a cage with no access to any money even for household things to be granted Innocent Spouse relief...

Yes, you can sue him unless your divorce settlement agreement or judgment says you are supposed to pay it.
