Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Statute of frauds defense

If an oral contract is supported by writings indicating that the duration of the contract is ''open ended'' can the Statue of frauds defense still be used? I understand that an oral contract that has no definitive written end would be subject to the Statute of Frauds as it is more than 1 year, however my question really is if there is writing stating duration but the duration is written as open ended can it beat the statute of frauds because the term is written (even though it is an open ended term which can not be completed in 1 year but is written)
