Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I appreciate your response. I still feel that this warrants more than a complaint to the company. I've also looked up the corporation that actually owns the hotel and pays to use the franchise name. I took only a few business law classes in college and am no law expert. I come from a long line of lawyers, some of whom, I formally got advice from. Dabney Carr, Thomas Jefferson's best friend and brother-in-law who attended William and Mary law school with Jefferson was a cousin of mine. My grandfather, mom, dad, and 2 brothers were all lawyers. I am not lawsuit happy, but this incident has me furious. Past furious. Put yourself in my place. You're a former soldier and accountant who normally stays at Starwood, Hilton and Marriott properties who goes downscale for a place just to get a nights sleep. Next thing you know the police, the police mind you, are practically kicking your door in. This is more than a bad nights hotel stay. A bad nights hotel stay is when the pool is cold or the maid forgets the soap or leaves something unclean. It is not being badgered and harassed and threatened with possible arrest in the very middle of the night. I saw what the other person paid. Less than 60 dollars. We paid 120 dollars for nothing less than a nightmare. There were about 100 possible ways that this manager could have handled the situation and my family feels that he picked the worst possible one. Again, I than you for the response, but I wish you would give this some additional thought. Thanks very much.
