Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Subpoena in a civil case

My company was served a subpoena in a civil case. Must I show? Must I answer their questions? Is there anything I can say if I do not want to answer a specific question?

Re: Subpoena in a civil case

If you were properly subpoenaed, then you must show up and answer any relevant questions. The test for relevancy is very broad. You need not answer privledged matters (attorney-client, husband/wife, priest, psychiatrist, etcetera).
