This depends on the knowledge of the adults in the home. Very case specific.

It depends on specific circumstances. The age of the kid(s) involved is important to know whether a crime has been committed against your underage kid. The adults in the home may have committed crimes as well depending upon the circumstances. A civil suit is separate and apart from any criminal charges, and civil suits seek money damages. I can envision a scenario where there could be wrongdoing by the adults and your kid could be damaged, perhaps needing therapy. Too many unknown facts.
