sueing police dept. and city

I was arrested for a dui in the city of Sunrise. I never got a ticket and the case was dropped. I would like to sue the Sunrise Police Department and the City of Sunrise. I missed a day of work and the humilation of being aressted and spending 18hrs in custody. I believe I am owed a remedy for everything I was put through.
