Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

My Tax Consultant sent to me two invoices for tax preparation and services for 2007 and 2008 in the amount of $10,000.00 after he already told me there was no charge. He has been my Best Friend over the past 20-years and has always done my taxes with no charge to me. The invoices for the above only came after I sent to him a Demand Letter for monies, ($10,000.00) owed to me by him with a Promissary Note in place. The original loan amount was $40,000.00. He has already paid back $30,000.00. We both live in Miami-Dade County.

And the question is? You can sue him, but without a contract, you have an up-hill battle.
