time period to report divorce

My wife and i divorced about 3 months ago. I haven't reported it to everyone. She was involved in a serious car accident that her insurance is paying and had not gotten around to notifing everyone. Is there a legal time limit that the law allows? I'm concerned about my job. I will happily pay any insurance vareiance. Is this grounds for dismissal? I am exceeding my budget in all areas by large numbers.

If she is a named insured, she is covered. If you are claiming her as a member of the household, & she is not, you a committing a fraud.
