Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

We had a truck repoed in Florida. We are now being sued for the amount left owing after they sold it without telling us it was being sold or when it was being sold. We were not given a chance to get it back. It has been over a year and now they want us to pay over 9 thousand dollars for a truck they took back. Do we have a case.
