Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
unsure of what my options are??please help
my fiance is currently in germany, he had a car that he was letting his friend use.he has decided that he wants me to get the car back, the friend claims that he was buying the car, but no documents or anything were ever signed. he wants me to pay him for the tires that he purchased and what he claims was a down payment on the car. he has used the car for almost 7 months. we were going to sell the car to him but he failed to produce the correct documents in a timely matter and now, we've decided to get the car back. he says all i have to do is pay him and sign some documents. i do have a notarized letter from my fiance that gives me permission to retrieve the car, i am not going to give him any money nor sign any documents. he claims to have had this on legal advice. where do i stand in just getting the car? i don't owe him any money, if a car was ''leased'', i am not entitled to getting any money back for the upkeep of the car.please give me some direction. thank you in advance

All of the dealings are between your fiance and the guy that has the car. You would be best served to stay the heck out of this mess and to let your fiance handle this directly. He had the dealings, it's his car, it's his "friend," he had the conversatiopns, you were not involved and have no personal knowledge of what went on. The "we were going to sell" sounds very close to an agreement to sell that fiance backed off on. This is his mess, let him clean it up.
