Verbal agreements are difficult to prove, so it's best to always get it in writing. Also, there are certain agreements that must be in writing pursuant to the statute of frauds, such as land purchases, a contract for the sale of goods over $500, promise to pay another's debt, or newspaper subscriptions. This list is not all-inclusive. Contact an attorney in Florida for additional information to make sure you will be able to enforce your contract should one party breach.
