Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
verbal contracts
I was supposed to go on a cruise with 3 girls besides myself for spring break. One of the girls put the full amount of the cruise on her credit card, and the other 3 of us gave her $677.42 each to pay for our half of the cruise. Without consulting us first she cancelled the cruise and only got a partial refund. She is willing to give us back part of the refund that she received but we would each like the full amount of $677.42 returned to us as we did not agree that she would cancel the cruise. She did not get $1000.00 back because it was a non refundable deposit. Do we have a case to file in small claims court? Thank you-Erin

Re: verbal contracts
You can of course file in small claims, and the cost is low. So you might as well give it a try. But think about what each relevant person will say in their pleading to make sure you are being objective because a judge will be.
