Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Wondering if I can sue a daycare center.

I have a two-year-old daughter whom was attending a daycare center here in South Daytona Beach Florida. My daughter and another toddler aged 18-months were left unsupervised and were found walking down a two lane busy road during rush hour ( the rond runs parallel to a canal filled with broken glass and other hazards). People passing by stopped and removed my daughter and the other toddler from the dangerous road and walked them back to the day care center. According to police reports when the children were taken back the day care center had had no clue the either child had been missing and it was the people who had taken the children back who called the police and reported the incedent. I was uninformed of what had happend untill my mother (who picks my daughter up from day care) called me at work and told me. the other childs mother was left unaware untill after she had already pick up her son and was back home before the center called to inform her that her child had ''walked out'' of the center.

My question is...What type of a lawyer would I need to sue the daycare center and also what if anything can I sue the center for?

Generally, any attorney who practices civil litigation would be appropriate to handle this sort of case. As to the causes of action, you should discuss that with the attorney whom you retain.
