Re: Wrongful Death

Medical negligence cases require expert handling, and also usually require a substantial financial investment. Your post states that you are located in Missouri, but that the question has to do with Florida law, suggesting to me that you may need to consult and then possibly hire an expert in Florida. Still, it is difficult to provide any specific advice without more detailed information. If you would like to discuss this matter further, you may call me at the office for a free telephone consultation. I will try to help you in any way I can.

Re: Wrongful Death

I am not sure why this was directed to my firm which doesn't handle wrongful death cases.

I suggest you contact an attorney in Florida who handles wrongful death cases and mention that you were contacted by me through Law Guru. Here in Lakeland, I would suggest Dan Moody or Karl Pansler. This sounds like a horrible tragedy and I wish you the best.

Re: Wrongful Death

The limited facts given appear to give rise to a negligence/wrongful death action in Florida. Please be aware that there is a 2 year statute of limitations and that generally, the case can only be brought on behalf of a spouse or children under the age of 25. I would like to discuss this potential case with you. Thanks for your inquiry.

(Please forgive my late reponse to your inquiry - I was on vacation for 3 weeks.)

Re: Wrongful Death

The next of kin may have a claim against the medical provider if there was a departure from good and accepted practice. Good luck.
