Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida
My 17 yr old daughter went to the doctor w/ a stomach virus. Later she figured out that there was a small chance she could actually be pregnant & called to make sure the medication she was perscribed wouldn't hurt anything. The next day a girl at her school called her and told her that another one of the doctors in that office was her father, she worked in the office and heard she was pregnant. We later also found out she told several people that my daughters medical records said she was pregnant but not to say anything because it was illegal for her to say anything. I know this must be a HUGE HIPAA violation and need to know how to report it and if this is something I should pursue legally against the doctors office?

Based on the information presented, this does sound like a violation of HIPAA as well as a breach of physician-patient confidentiality. I would recommend consulting with a health care attorney in your area to discuss potential next steps.
