Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

Florida medicaid

I am 46/single mom with 2 daughters (14 & 15 yrs old). My income is $600-$900 mo. (I'm a self employed photograher/videograher) plus $500. child support. My 73 year old disabled (bedridden & wheelchair bound) mother lives with me. Her Soc Sec net is $823.30 She pays $504.30 quarterly to Blue Cross/Shield and $74.50 Life Ins. (10,000. death payout) The rest she uses to pay bills in the home. QUESTION:HOW DO I APPLY FOR FLORIDA MEDICAID & FOOD STAMPS? SHOULD I APPLY FOR MYSELF & THE KIDS, AND HAVE MOM APPLY FOR HERSELF? WHAT ARE WE ENTITLED TO?

FYI:2 YEARS AGO I WAS HOSPITALIZED, AND HAD SURGERY. WE HAD SIMILAR INCOME. I WAS TURNED DOWN FOR MEDICAID FOR MYSELF, BUT THEY GAVE IT TO THE KIDS, ALONG WITH FOOD STAMPS. THEY REFUSED TO PAY THE HOSPITAL BILL OF $23,500. I read the qualification requirements, and I felt I did qualify, but was still turned down!! DCAF kept asking for more docs which I complied with in a timely fashion. My file was lost or misplaced, and I was asked to give them docs again 2x! Finally AFTER ALL MY EFFORTS I was turned down. Since then I have been hospitalized 2x and haven't applied again because I felt they would not help me. Can some please help me??? I cannot keep up with my bills, and hospitals ar
