Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

my wife is on disibility and her disab.ck and social security ck goes direct deposit into our bank account.
she has a large medical bill that hit her because they admitted her to the hosp without insurance approvial and she cannot pay it.
Since I did not sign for her to be admitted and she has her own insurance can they make me [her husbond] pay?

No -- not unless you signed something at the hospital agreeing to be responsible for the bill.
