Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida
Health Insurance
I am married to a woman who ''does not believe in insurance''. Although I can arrange for homeowner's and auto insurance for us, privacy laws prevent me from taking responsibility for her health insurance (I am on Medicare, she is not). Can I be held legally responsible for medical bills incurred because of her foolish refusal to have health insurance?

Re: Health Insurance
No -- not unless you sign forms at hospitals and doctors offices that say you will be responsible. If you ever end up going to the hospital with her, BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU SIGN.
